Physical end of the tape when trying to catalog

Hi,

I´m using BE9.1 with Windows 2003 Server and Overland SDLT tape library.

The problem is that quite everything works great, but now i want to restore data from two tapes having a backup of april. I put the tapes to library and Inventory them. -OK, but, when doing a catalog job, it will catalog the second tape great, but with the first tape it stops cataloging and error message "Storage device reported an error on a request to space to end of data. Physical end of tape encountered" is shown and the catalog fails. What should i do?

Second question: The catalog process takes many hours with one tape, though i have checked the "use storage-based media catalogs" option. Is this some kind of driver problem?

Hello,

Follow the steps given below to resolve the issue.

please check whether the device is "tested" in the list below, if yes then please install latest veritas drivers from the link below:
http://support.veritas.com/docs/271383

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 - Device Driver Installer (20050115) - Includes Tape Driver Release (20041231) and Robotic Library Release (45) (Intel Only) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273853.htm

If not tested then please install latest manufacturers and then verify the result.

Thanks,
