A few weeks ago, my backup server blue screened on me. Since I had to rebuild the system, I upgraded it from W2K server to Windows 2003 server. Nothing else changed. I'm using the same hardware including the same tape drives.
Now, I need to restore from a backup that was made before the crash. I've tried importing the media and cataloging it. Backup Exec 11d goes through the process of cataloging the tape and completes successfully. But when I go to the restore menu, the tape does not appear in the list of media. If I right click on the tape and select "restore data", I'm prompted to catalog the media.
I'm in a loop and would appreciate any assistance you can come up with.
