Problem when job fills a media

BE 9.1 SP3
When Append job fills a media ,the job continues on another piece of appendable media on other media set ??? although the job need to be terminated because the media he took is not overwritable.
How to avoid this situation ?
At document id no 192265 written " if an append job fills media,the job continues on another piece of OVERWRITABLE media."
