Problems with rebuild of data SB Exec 11d build 6235

I want to rebuild our datas from catalogues in Symantec Backup exec 11d

Right now we are using Windows NT 4.0 with Veritas Backup exec 8.5. And saved our catalogues to
c:\programme\veritas\backup exec\catalgos on a  Windows  2003  Server.

I'd like to aim to have an Active Directory Server (Windows 2003) with Symantec Backup Exec 11d and see all my
errands.

How can i achieve that?

You cannot go directly from v8.6 to v11d

What you could try is

shut down all BackupExec services
copy the entire c:\programme\veritas\backup exec folder to a workstation
install v8.6 in demo mode to the same path
upgrade that to v9.1
then upgrade that to v11d
shut down all Backup Exec services
copy the c:\programme\veritas\backup exec directory to your W2K3 server
install v11d on top of the copied directory

Not sure if this will work, but it's al that I can think of.

Thank's for your advise, we havn't Backup Exec 9.1 in our hand.

I heard about, that there is a tool like beutility.exe or something like that. There must be a Wizard tool to my          problem.

Hmmm

Try downloading v9.1 from here

Install it in Demo Mode (no serials)  Then you can try http://support.veritas.com/docs/286729
