Pushing the Windows Remote Agent in Backup 10

When i will to install the Agent on a NT4 machine and a was by the point of user and password input i became an error that the usename or the password is incorrect.
What is the problem by this point ?

Wenn ich den Agent installieren möchte kommt der Punkt für die Auswahl des Servers und die Eingabe für Benutzername und Passwort. An dieser Stelle bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung, dass Benutzername oder Passwort inkorrekt ist. Was ist die Ursache ?

Please note that BE v10.0 does not support the Winnt.
You can verify from software compatibility list.

However, if you want to install the remote agent on Winnt machine we will try to provide you the best support.

-- The Winnt machine on which you are trying to install the remote agent is in the same domain as the Backup Exec server?

-- Does the username you are providing possess the local administrator rights to the target server?

as said above, v 10 does not support NT4 anymore. This is why you can not install BEWS v10 Remote Agent to a NT4 box.

Anyway, the version 9.1 Remote Agent works fine on NT4 and is compatable with BEWS 10. (but can not be installed from BEWS 10 GUI )

Do not trouble shoot this issue ... just do a silent install of the be v 9.1 remote agent on the remote NT4 box.
(Do not forget the hotfixes - what makes the thing a little complicated, if you do not have a running BEWS 9.1 server or a Full backup of the agents\RANT32 directory of a fully patched (SP2 - HF50) BEWS 9.1 .
