Eric,

BE11d now fully supports Domino R7 including 7.02

I can only find support for R7 and Compatibility list states R7 as well with a note for Lotus Formatted databases only.

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/284493.htm

Can anyone confirm?

I can select some of the databases now but the mail files are not selectable via the domino agent under the mail dir?

Is this going to be addressed asap as it is the only reason we are holding back on purchasing!!!!!

The compatibility list is specific about what is supported for Lotus. 7.0.2 adds support for X64 Windows 2003 which is definitely not supported with the present Lotus agent so 7.0.2 would not be officially supported at this time. In your case, if you are not using the X64 version and merely cannot select some databases for backup, it may work. Are the databases grayed out or is there some message that comes up on selecting them? Did this work with 10d? Was it the upgrade to 7.0.2 that initiated the problems?

Before in 10D it did not allow anything to be selected now it currently allows only some items .ntf and .nsf in both the c: and d: domino databases to be backed up but the mail dir is not showing any of the .nsf mail files I am sure they are getting backed up in flat backup but why the need for the agent then ?

Is it possible for symantec to create a product that just works with our old backup exec 8.5 we never had these issues!!!!

A couple of things:

1) When Backup Exec first queries Lotus for valid database files, there is an open / close attempted on each one. If for some reason Lotus doesn't report to Backup Exec that certain .nsf/.ntf/.dsk/.box files are valid databases, we put them in a skip list so we don't attempt them again. Sometimes just clearing out the skipped list is enough to get the DBs added back in the job or selection view. Steps for clearing out the skipped list:
A) Stop The Backup Exe Services (both local and remote this applies)
B) Move the Noteslbd.txt, NotesDB.LBD, and NotesDBC.UCJ files out of the Backup Exec Logs directory
C) Restart the services and try to create/run another backup.

2) If you have the Lotus agent licensed/installed then files with .nsf/.ntf/.dsk/.box extensions are not attempted during the file backup. They are automatically excluded.
