Read a tape that was recorded with Netbackup 5.0

Can Backup Exec 9.1 read a tape that was recorded with Netbackup 5.0?

Hello,

Backup Exec uses the Microsoft Tape Format(MTF) for writing and reading tapes . Netbackup uses the tar format with some proprietary Veritas formatting for writing and reading tapes . Netbackup can convert Backup Exec or MTF using the “Backup Exec Tape Reader Option” . Backup Exec in it’s current version 9.1 and 10, does not have a Netbackup Tape Reader option or functional utility that is able to convert Netbackup tape(s) for use within Backup Exec.

Therefore, Backup Exec cannot read Net Backup media.
