Restoring Job Definitions

Hi: we had a problem and had to reinstall the tape drivers. After reinstalling the drivers, all job definitions, all job history and everything from the past is gone. After restaring the server, we got an error statng the path to the Prog Files\Veritas\Back Exec\NT\Data was invalid. The folders are actually there but it is resetting the path to Prog Files\Veritas\Back Exec\NT so it can't read the Data folder.

Any ideas how to set it back?

thanks

Hello,

To troubleshoot this problem perform the repair database.
Refer the following technote:-
Title:
How to run a Backup Exec database repair when the original Backup Exec database is found to be inconsistent
http://support.veritas.com/docs/265180

And verify the result.

See http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/206901.htm

don't remember if those files get backed up during a standard backup (after all, backup exec is running)

If the files are on one of your backups,. you could do a redirected restore, then shut down all BackupExec services and copy them to the production locations and restart BackupExec
