I have a database restore, created from the "Restore Wizard" that's been running for over one hour. The backup of the database originally took 4 hours, so I expect the restore will still take some time. The database appears completely usable, and I wonder whether or not the restore is happening properly. Shouldn't the restore need an exclusive lock on the database to begin the restore procedure? How do I ensure that my restore is happening properly?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
