SQL backup option greyed out

I am trying to set up a backup set for a SQL database. The SQL option is greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Have you installed a SQL Serial on the media server?
Is the RemoteAgnet installed and running on the SQL machine?

Do not know what SQL serial is? Why would I need Remote Agent installed if the tape backup is mounted in the SQL server?

Sorry, guess the coffee hadn't kicked in yet

I meant a BackupExec SQL module serial (an extra cost option)

and I just assumed that the media server was not the same box as the SQL server (proving, yet once again, just what assume means ;) )

Out of curiosity, what wat the problem?

i don't have the 'Tools\Options\SQL' option in bexec 10.1 - i, however, have tools/options/microsoft sql' options but no 'enable sql' option. the sql 'lincense number' is also entered.
