Hi All. I have a customer running Windows 2003 who have recently acquired a SUN L1000 tape library with 4 DLT7000s inside.
They're running Backup Exec 10x on Windows 2003 and are connected to the library via an LSI logic 53C875 SCSI controller.
everything works great - it erases tapes 1 per drive no problem (ie 4 at a time) and backups are functioning properly. However, the user is asking us why veritas is only utilizing 1 tape drive during the backup and I'm not sure why.
With this sort of tape drive shouldn't streaming to 4 tapes simultaneously be an option? or at least have the drive load up a tape in each drive and sit there waiting to be used?
I've scoured the settings and haven't found anything that will let us turn these type of things on.
What am I missing?
