Slow remote agent ?

hi fellow forum trolls :)

I just upgraded from 10 to 11d - and now my exchange and plane file backup on remote server are ultra slow. atm. my exchange store do about 80Mb/Min !! (?)  - file backup is not much faster - whath wrong ?

I started from scratch - removed 10, and install 11d. Used live update. Re-install remote agents on target servers.

Its running on a windows 2003 sp1, 2 GB ram. NIC is running 1Gb

I dont do Backup2disk2tape - just backup2tape (LTO2 library, 8 slots, 400GB tapes)

All gear is "standard" HP.

Exchange server is Version 6.5 (Build 7638.2: SP 2), also running on a Windows 2003 server... i just dont get it :(

A local backup on the backup server (plain file) hit about 1GB/Min - so the tape is working fine, and catalog'ing a tape i about 5,5GB/Min.

Can anyone help med please ? :)

Verify that Autonegotiate is not selected on both ends of any pipe between your servers.  hard set at least one of them, preferably both

 Thank you for the input.

 Just checked - and they are all "Auto". Got a 4 hour service window in 40 min, than ill try and fix them at 1Gb - really hope it helps :)

Hello again

 Now i tried fixing the values to 1Gb/FD - but no change.

 Im getting pretty frustrated!!!  File backup is still only 90Mb/Min - said in another way - my FILE backup alone (still need database, sharepoint and exchange backup ) cant be done within 24 hours!

 Whats going on ??  i had no problems (except exchange) with Backup exec 10..... im pretty much on the edge to uninstall 11 again, because of "bad carma" from my management....

 Pretty frustrated now - and spend countless hours...  if Anyone can help - please do! :)
