I am getting an error on my Backup Exec server. I have the advanced disk based backup option installed and have been trying to run a synthetic backup job. The full backup and incremental backups complete successfully. When the synthetic backup runs, the backup exec job engine will die (dr watson error), and the job status shows: Recovered. I have ran it a few different times and it always seems to die about the same place. The error logged in the application log is as follows:
Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed
(Server: "HBS-02F") (Job: "Fileservers-Fileservers Synthetic Backup-Synthetic Backup") Fileservers-Fileservers Synthetic Backup-Synthetic Backup -- The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding.
Event ID 7034 also shows in the system log:
The Backup Exec Job Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s).
