Trouble with Oracle Agent on BE 11d

Hi,
is it possible to backup a Oracle 8 DB with BE 11d ?
If I enter the oracle instances and login information on the Oracle Tab in the Backup Exec Remote Agent Utility I get the warning message "the login information on the oracle database could not be checked, try it again later"

Any ideas?

BE11d only support oracle 9i and 10g.

With the next updated release of Backup Exec 11d (not a hot fix), Symantec will be including Oracle 8i v8.1.7 back to the supported list. At this time no ETA is available for when that release will be sent out.

The added benefit is that we'll be using RMAN instead of using GRFS.Message was edited by: kevin mikalsen
