VSP.SYS

I've a server W2003 that often crashes due to Virus Scan 8 of Network Associates (www.nai.com). This server has also installed a Remote Agent of Veritas Backup Exec.

Network Associates, after a long test period, say that this problem is due to 1.2 version of VSP.SYS, a Veritas component, and suggest to upgrade to 1.3 version.

How i can upgrade this file? ... and again, has someone never met the same problem?

Thanks

Every Virus scan 8i issue we have ever had (which included regular crashing) was resolved by Patch 7, or the rollup patch 10.

As for upgrading, I'll take a guess at applying service pack 2.

I thought I'd better clarify. By "patch 7" I referred to McAfee patch7, or the latest VSE8iP10

I've regular crash with Vscan8 Patch 10. The server crashes when i modify a file on the server using a sharing, not directly on the hard disk of the server.

If I remove the Vscan8 the server doesn't crash doing the same operation.

The explanation of Network Associates was about VSP.SYS 1.2.

Thanks
