0xa000fec9 - A failure occurred accessing the Writer metadata.
We continue to experience this error message when backing up a Windows 2003 Server Standard with Service Pack 1. The patch for VSS is installed, the Volume Shadow Copy Service is set to manual and the VSSADMIN lists all writers as stable. We have defragged the server and there is enough free space on the hard disk drives.
