automatically Cancell backup jobs after certain amount of time

Hello,
We are using Veritas Backup Executive 10.0 Rev 5484 for Small Business Server Edition for a SBS2003 Standard Edtion. The person assigned responsibility continually forgets to change the backup tapes. Sometimes the backup job will report trying to load the media, however there's nothing to load because the tapes been ejected and just sits there. How can I configure to cancel the backup job after a certain amount of time it attempts to load? I have expressed myself until I'm blue in the face that these backups are for their own benefit. TIA.

Hi,
Close BE and browse to the file beutility.exe. You'll find it where BE is installed. Choose the media server, under "services tasks" choose "edit configuration" wich enables you to configure automatic responses to several media alerts, i.e media insert alerts!
