backup exec crashes win2k3 on verify

Hello,
We have a 9.1 server that has been crashing when my jobs are verifying.
I am backing up to removable IDA SATA drives. Backups are around 115 gig.

I saw this post over on the 10 forums and it is identical to what we are experiencing.

The server looks to be processor bound when this happens, we loose console
access and the services all die (DNS etc) We reboot it to regain access.

Could this be something going on with the msde installation??
Any help would be great!!

Hello,

Event logs are showing any errors?

Antivirus service or any third party application is running on the server during the backup?

As you have mentioned that "Could this be something going on with the msde installation??
"
Have you installed the Backup exec in an existing instance of SQL?

Are you getting any alert?

BE services gets terminated during the backup?
