had to format a member server in a domain. when i re-installed backup exec 9.1, i copied the bedb.bak file to the folder and tried to recover it. didn't work. would not start the services. had to revert back to a clean db. then i got a least privileged user error or something like that, whenever i tried to do anything.

uninstalled and re-installed be 9.1. i configured a backup and it works. butm now i would like to restore my jobs if possible.

can anyone help?

Maybe one of these, http://support.veritas.com/docs/245469, http://support.veritas.com/docs/242596, is applicable to your situation. If not maybe the knowledge base contains some more docs about moving BE to another server.

i guess if i would have posted in the version 7 or 8 forum it might have been helpful.

Well, than there is nothing left then to search through the knowledge base yourself. I know for a fact that there are documents that describe how to move a BE installation from one server to another including jobs.
