move the remote agent

Friends,

I have back up exec 10 running from a win 2003 server.

I have a few linux remote agents and a few Win remote agents.

I wish to Move one of the win remote agents to another win server.

basically i have an old server that i am replacing , and wish to backUp the  New server.

So I can stop backing up the old one.

I have a dir with a Rant32 -- as I recall this is my win remote agent.

How do i move my remote agent?

If I uninstall it from server-old , can I install it on server-new?

    Is there a suggested way to do  that ?

And once done will I then be able to back Up my server-new?

Correct.  Uninstall from one and install on the other. 

as long as you have one RAWS serial for each server backed up, you can chagne the actual servers that you grab

So I uninstall it from server 'old" via the win cntrl panle of add & remove program.

then I run  ( install remote agent ) rant 32 on server new.

and then my media server will "see" & connect to server New --Yes?

and What about my previous selections list - this will have selections that go to server Old.

can i edit my selection list? removing Old and adding new?

You will need to edit your selection list(s) to removwe the old server

Make sure that you are in Text Mode when you do this
