"no loss" option on individual public folder restore

I need some clarification on the behavior of a restore to an individual public folder. I've been struggling trying to restore a public calendar via the redirect method and thought I should explore restoring to the existing calendar. Currently the calendar is there and accessible, but is missing a key entry from several months back (was deleted by user). Is there any issue of taking a backup tape from last April and restoring that individual calendar item to it's original location (which is being actively used). I assume you leave the "no loss" restore option checked. I read in a white paper that items that were already in there may be recreated and show twice? My main concern is to not destroy any current data in the calendar that was created after the April backup.

Thanks in advance
JT

Went ahead and tried the restore and it did, indeed, post duplicates of information prior to the date of the backup.
