The option "Update Configuration for New Media Server Name" in BEUtility enables you to update the server name of a media server that you have changed, without re-installing Backup Exec.
You can also update the domain name if you placed the media server in a different domain. Using this task, you can update either the server name or the domain name, or both if you have made changes to both.
To use the Update Configuration for New Media Server Name task:
-- Start BEUtility. Default path is : C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT
-- Select a media server from either a media server group or from the All Media Servers subnode that you have renamed.
-- On the task pane, under Services Tasks, click Update Configuration for New Media Server Name.
-- Make the changes, as appropriate
-- Click OK.
--When the operation completes, click Close.
