slow backup to ultrium lto tape

For some reason a 2hour backup takes 8hours. I have set the backup to begin at 11pm, but it actually does not start until 4am (see below). When the actual backup begins at 4, everything is fine. The problem is this 5 hour lag that occurs only to the local server. The network servers backup just fine. Log file below:
