stressfull recovery of individuale mailboxes

sigh a client my company is now supporting had thier one and only server crash...

they did not have the databases seleted for backup/restoring the infostore. however they did have individual mailboxes back up.

 

after reinstalling same os patches ect

 

i still can not restore the blasted email to exchange. i recreated all the accounts by hand even with new mailboxes and still no go. I am lost as to what needs to happen next.

 

also they did not have cached server mode either.

 

any help is appreciated.

what error message do you get while restoring the mailbox. Did you try to restore just one mail box? Did you try redirected restore? Most of the time it is credentials / access issue.
I. Ensure that the Backup Exec Logon Account has sufficient rights to back up the Exchange Database per the following:
  • Backup Exec logon account has Domain Admin and Local Administrative rights.
  • Backup Exec logon account is assigned the Exchange Server Administrators role in Exchange.
  • Verify that a unique mailbox for the Backup Exec Logon Account resides on the Exchange Server and is not hidden from the Global Address List.
