trying to catalog a tape to restore in 9.1...but....

receive this message:

Final error: 0x452 - When accessing a new tape of a multivolume partition, the current block size is incorrect.

i saw how it says to erase the tape...but that is a problem since i need to restore from this particular tape...

That Tech Note says to erase the tape.

he specifically said that he wants to RESTORE from it.

Hi Ryan,

Please follow these steps:

Stop all Backup Exec Services.

Rename the "Catalogs" folder to .old

Uncheck "Use Storage media based Catalogs" in Tools>Options>Catalogs.

Start all Backup Exec Services and then retry cataloging the tape and then try restoring.
