trying to install remote agent

when i try to install remote agent from add/remove programs the program doesn't start.
and when i try "autoplay" the cd i get a flash of a black screen and then nothing

i have a windows 2000 server with backup exec 8.6.

i've done this in the past, but it won,t work now
