configure Alert email on Dell ITA

HI,
I install and configure  ITA  to  monitors all dell servers.  Symantec antivirals are installed on all dell servers.
I couldn't send the Alert email  form the ITA. I wonder to know that which port it should be open   to let me  send  email . because when I  disable Symantec I can send but when i active it I couldn't!!!

Are you using TCP port 25 (SMTP) or port 587 for outgoing mail? What Symantec product are you using? Make sure your firewall is not blocking the ports needed for sending mail.

yes I am  using SMTP.

Try running a packet capture and see what is getting blocked from the server. Are you running SEP 11 Endpoint on this server?
