I need to figure out how much back-up data and a given month. I need the volume protected by Netbackup and not the amount of data written to diskpools with dedup.

I need to know how many tapes i'll need to perform my backup.

thanks all

Hi,

Can you check this articles? You can use NetBackup OpsCenter or nbdeployutil command.

With respect tapes, how much time do you want hold your backups?

There are a number of standard reports that you can use to calculate media requirements based on current usage.
Bear in mind that different retention levels need separate tapes and that media sharing between media servers is not enabled by default.

Reports:
Tapes written
Tape Summary (verbose option selected)
Client Backups

Hello all, thank you very much for your answers.
I need to know too, the amount  data in my NetBackup appliance without dedup, because I'll duplicate many data to tape media.

Client Backup report will give you non-dedupe figures.

you can open the Java console or Admin console, navigate to Reports, Pull the client backup reports or you can also pull Images on media or images on disk reports, will give you the non dedup data size which is not expired. If the backup data expires these reports will not give you any reports.
