we have two filers ,each filer has six nodes.we have configured local NDMP backup for it.
when schedule ndmp backup started at any point of time randomly any ndmp backup job gets hung and the drive which is used by that 'job' completely not releasing the tapes till we cancel the job and kill the process using the NDMPAGENT PID id. if we fail to check manually such hung jobs then the impact is all drives will be ocupied with tapes with no movement and no backup will run because of drive un-available.
if NDMP backup fails with error or it fails for any particular ndmp volume or ndmp filer we can troubleshoot but here its happening randomely.
need assiatance in this issue.
i have restarted the services, done micro code upgradation for library and drives , Drive Diagnostic done ,we have cleared the host catch and have rebooted the library.no luck.
we have check all the possible ways of NDMP connectivity'sbut no luck need assistance.
