No sure about @Nicolai, but I have never seen this message.
So, I will not be able to tell you how to solve this.
You need to find out from the monitoring software where this message is coming from.
Maybe the software is 'complaining' about the number of NBU processes.
I do not see any problem with the NBU processes.
The message also seems to be 'Informational', not an error.

I see nbatd running, are you using Netbackup Acess Control ?
11-06-2017 03:25 AM
Looks like a custom error message from monitoring system - proc_netbackup is probably short name for "Processes Netbackup"
Logon to the master server can run bpps -a , then verify with this tech note
http://www.veritas.com/docs/100002166
Note - this tech note is for netbackup. If running a higer version there may be additional processes.

Does proc_netbackup is not separate process? i thought it is.
As per your update i came to know that if any daeomn/process didn't run this alert will appear. Does my understanding right?

I found this article (from NBU Admin Guide 1) that seems to indicate that ENABLE_CRITICAL_PROCESS_LOGGING is enabled manually.

Hello marriane,
thank you for your repy.
Shall i enable this logs in master server. because alert is throwing for master server.
After logs enable what logs need to collected to diagnoise the issue.

I was wondering if this setting was ALREADY enabled and thus causing additional messages/alerts.
I Googled the proc_netbackup message and came across this article.
So, my suggestion is to check if this type of logging was enabled.
My guess would be bpduplicate - there were 24 processes at the time that you ran bpps.
Also a large number of nbproxy - we see 17 processes.
Can your master and/or media servers actually handle this kind of load?
I wanted to suggest that you log a call with Veritas Support, but you have selected version 7.6 as NBU version, which reached EOSL more that 6 months ago.

Where from do you get this error message ?
e.g. /var/log/messages, opscenter, monitoring software etc.
proc_netbackup is not a seperate Netbackup process.
11-07-2017 04:27 AM
We got alert from alert monitoring tool.
11-07-2017 04:29 AM
We doesnt have support because it was 7.6 version. Looking forward for solution for this alert.
Can we ignore alert or does need to check any other logs. Please suggest.

That question is difficult to answer since we can't see if Netbackup is working or not. Are backup executed during the night in Netbackup ?
I would advice you to go to the monitoring team, and ask them, what missing process the monitoring tool alerts you about.
Best Regards
Nicolai

I told team to stop alerts. Didnt find the failure.
