We're very proud of Sue Smith and Tricia Atchison who were recognized as two of CRN's Women of the Channel for 2011. According to CRN’s VP and editorial director, Kelley Damore, “This year’s Women of the Channel list "honors those female executives who epitomize success within the IT channel."  Sue and Tricia were included in the list of 100 of the most influential women of the channel based on their overall achievements and their influence in the technology industry.”

Tricia Atchison, our Senior Director for Channel Marketing Americas, has been working in the channel for 17 years. During the past year, Tricia helped launch Symantec Campaign Creator and the Symantec Partner Support Center for Marketing to Symantec partners in North America, and has focused on enabling our partner community with various tools and sales and technical enablement activities. Tricia is a member of Symantec Women’s Action Network (SWAN) and has participated in Race for the Cure the past two years to help raise money for breast cancer research.

Symantec’s Senior Director of Partner Programs, Sue Smith, also has a lot of be proud of.  Over the past year, she and her team launched the Enhanced Symantec Partner Program, re-launched our Opportunity Registration Program and created new Rules of Engagement for Symantec and our partners. In addition to her 20 years of channel experience, Sue is a volunteer for The Parents Association of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses.

On behalf of the team here at Symantec, I’d like to thank Tricia and Sue for all of their service and hard work for the channel. Congratulations ladies!!  You make us proud.
