EV Outlook add-in error
Hi, I have encountered an EV Outlook add-in issue that I haven't sen before. The Installation is EV 1.0.0.4, Outlook add-in 10.0.0.4 and Exchange 2010. For one of the pilot users an error pop up appears when opening an archived item within Outlook (2010). The error is an Outlook Forms error saying that "To help prevent malicious code from running one or more objects in this form were not loaded." After clicking ok to the pop-up the archived item opens and appears to be fne. I'm guessing that this is a security setting in Outlook but can't figure out exactly what it is. Problem with PST import in Enterprise Vault
Hi There I am trying to import a PST into our Enterprise Vault (10.0.3) and it is failing every time. Hello all, I am struggling with an issue with EV-client on Citrix. The Citrix setup is not completely known to me, but additional information I can get my hands on. The citrix server is W2008R2, the applications are published. What is published is only Office (2010, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook), and Adobe Reader. Not Internet Explorer, IE is installed on the system. The EV-client is 9.0.3.1221 The plug-in is installed properly. When opening an archived item, I get prompted for a username and password. When entering, the item is opened fine. The problem I have I need a solution for is that if in the Enterprise Vault tab I click on Archive Explorer or the Search Vaults button, I get a blank page. When I create in the inbox a folder, and set the homepage for that folder to the Archive Explorer ui, I get the archive explorer, same for the search-page. REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON Attached a client-logfile.REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON The Citrix Admin has entered the aliasses and hostnames in the trusted sites on the citrix-server for the users. Does anyone have an idea what can be done/checked/tried to get the Archive Explorer and Search Safe page working. The password prompt we will work on later. Throttling Policy - User does not contain a user with a mailbox error
[PS] C:\>.\SetEVThrottlingPolicy. ps1 -user domain\evsvc Successfully connected to[Exchange Server] Using Domain Controller: DC1.domain.com Invalid parameter value: -User does not contain a user with a mailbox. Please pass in a valid username. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We can open the mailbox correctly. SetEvPermissions script rund correctly, Add-AddPermissions also runs correctly. Only Throttling fails with this error. The user name "evsvc" is also the alias & the mailbox name, so no chance we are wrong regarding username. Running this on evsvc01 & evsvc02 (system mqilboxes for exchange 2010) - same error on Throttling policy, no errors on the rest of the scripts. Outlook 2007/Windows 7 Enterprise Vault Sync Issue
Hi We have had number of sync issues reported by users using Windows 7/ Outlook 2007 with Symantec Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in v 9.85169 The initiating a manual sync from the client, it displays that it connects sucessfully, but after approximately 5 mins it fails I have captured the logs from the client (with maximum tracing) Note that I removed client details (see attachment) Can anyone advise on what is causing this issue & how to proceed in resolving this issue Thanks in advance Tim459Views0likes3Comments
EVPM - Error 0x80040115 Creating privileged MAPI session
Hi I'm trying to use EVPM to create a folder under each mailbox with certain retention categories. I can do this fine with our Exchange2010 server. However when I run the same EVPM script on our Exchange2013 server I get: Creating privileged MAPI session ... Error (0x80040115) creating privileged MAPI session against Exchange Server EXCHANGE2013 I'm using the EVSystem Mailbox alias that is setup for the Exchange2013 Archiving task but even if I change the username to say vaultadmin I still get the same error. Hi, We are nearing the end of our migrations from one ADto another. We have SynchInMigrationMode set to 1 (on). (not SyncInMigrationMode without the H as I first typed) For 99% of mailboxes this has worked fine. Some users have just the one Exchange Vault item, some have 2 but no complaints... but some (say 200 people) have the following error appearing in the EV log: --------------------------- Event Number 3333 Severity Error Application or service EV Typical message This mailbox has duplicate entries in the directory and cannot be processed. LegacyDN: %1 DefaultVaultID: %2 --------------------------- There is no info on this in the Rossetta so wondering if anyone has any ideas what I can look at and try? Sometimes the SID gets corrupt and needs to be reset. To reset the Vault Service Account in DCOMConfig you will need to go to START | Programs | Administrative Tools | Component Services. On the server that is having the problem. Under DCOMConfig go to Migrator Server and right click. Go to properties and choose the Identity tab. Browse for the VSA and put in the same password. I've installed the webmonitoring on a w2008x64 ev-server, having only admin and directory service. When locally opening the page (localhost/monitoringwebapp/default.aspx), it shows an error with 'guidelines': An error has occurred. An error has occurred. Health monitoring is enabled. The error details have been updated in log.txt. Please contact the administrator or technical support with this file. This list may help you in troubleshooting the issue. Verify that AppPool Identity User is added to IIS_WPG group on the IIS server. Verify that AppPool Identity User has Read access to HKLM\KVS\Enterprise Vault registry key. You can enable Health Monitoring on this application by following these steps - Take a backup of current web.config file. Change the tag <healthMonitoring heartbeatInterval="0" enabled="false"> to <healthMonitoring heartbeatInterval="0" enabled="true">. The Health Monitoring log will be generated in log.txt. Hi, This weekend I updated our ev 10.0.1 server to version ev 11.0.1CHF4. We use it for exhange mail archiving. I first did the database update when I updated to 11.0.1.
