Hello, A client is using Discovery Accelerator version 9 and is encountering the following problem: When exporting custodial mailboxes as PST files, email attachments over a certain size are not included within the resulting PST file export. There are only links to the email attachments within each individual email. The client looked at their Exchange server and exported the same PST file directly from Exchange, they encountered the same problem. So, I am thinking the root cause might be a policy setup in the Exchange environment and not DA? QUESTIONS: 1) What are the specific menu steps one may take to find email attachment policies currently in place, both within DA and Exchange? 2) Is one possible answer to restore large email attachments first before exporting PST files from DA? If yes, what tool (DA or Exchange) would be used to restore large email attachments? 3) Where are these large email attachments currently physically housed? Hi, Is there a way to see or audit ALL searches made in Discovery Accelerator (I am using 10.0.4)? I have had a look in the SQL database for DA, but that only seems to show what searches were accepted/saved with a case. Hi , I have EV 10.0.4 deployed, and have Journal archiving enabled (Exchange 2010). On top of that I have Discovery Accelerator 10 installed. My question is around search, in partiular, can it do the types of searches that are listed below:- 1) Document Metadata searches: So if you right click on a word document, and select the Details tab, would a DA search find any of the information there ? 2) Regular expressions search Can searching use regular expressions, so for instance can I search for National Insurance numbers, which are in the following format:- <letter><letter><number1><number2><number3><number4><numbe5r><>number6<letter>, such as AB123456P I don't need to find a particular NI number, but would like to find ALL occurances of NI numbers, ie any occurance of <letter><letter><number1><number2><number3><number4><numbe5r><>number6<letter>? Hi Guys, I installed a brand new DA server called DAServer1 and configured customer and custodian db's. Then installed a second DA server called DAServer2 with binaries only, no config, for standby in DR location. Next I created a CName called DA1 pointing to DAServer1. The DA server move directions as listed here http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH55065 mention copying config files and changing the following 3 config db entries: tblCustomer\IIS, tblGroup\Name and tblServer\Name. I copied the config files to DAServer2 and changed the 3 entries above to point to the CName DA1. After starting DA Admin service DA seems to be working fine. However EVBAAdmin shows 2 server entries: 1. DA1 with the customer and custodian db's under it.The 3 default tasks (customer service, analytics service, customer tasks) are enabled and running. 2. DAServer1 with no db's. However it is showing the 3 default tasks (customer service, analytics service, customer tasks) as enabled and running. I can stop the last 2, but the first it won't let me stop saying it needs at least one customer service task to be running. When I tried to right-click and remove the server, it errored and is still there. This seems odd to me. I've done this procedure before many times when moving DA servers from one physical to another, but never to replace a physical name with a CName. I have need of a report that will show me the following information on an EV email search I've performed in DA: Sender, recipient, destination, subject, date/time sent. While I can display this information in the Discovery Accelerator "Review" tab, I need to provide this summary information in CSV (or other spreadsheet) format to a particular department. We were able to do this in our previous email archive system (CAMM) and so I am seeking a way to do this using the EV product suite. All the information is there on this screen, but I need to export it to CSV. Please advise how I do this with this new (to us) tool as I've searched the web and documentation for several hours and have not found a solution.
