I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem. After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil, but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. Friends, given up on fixing disk pool volume down issue after spending whole morning.. this is the typical one.. nbdevquery and nbdevconfig works successfully.. you can inventory the disk pool from.. you can see the storage configuration properties under credentials tab.. disk pool stays alive less than 10secs and it goes down.. here is the spoold logs from that path. gsrugnbapp01:/dedup_data/log/spad/gsrugnbapp01.groupservices.co.uk/spoold/spad number of errors being reported of connection reset by peer.. i can bet my brand new BMW 325D on this.. the name resolution/nslookup and everything working okay.. no problem.. this problem arose over the weeked due where the media server (built in storage) went offline in the middle of the backup due to unexpected power outage.. looking at the logs below its suggesting connection reset by peer; REceive session shutdown any suggestion will highly be appreciated. Friends, NBU Enviornment upgraded from 7.5.0.3 to 7.5.0.4 I ran into a problem the other day where all of a sudden i was unable to open the properties of the schedule on my windows machine thats runs JAVA console. Did some investigation and found out there is a known issue with 7.5.0.3. see below. i first surprised that it has been running for almost a year without any issues. Etrack Incident: 2735153 Problem: When a schedule is viewed or edited that has an overridden storage lifecycle, policy, the policy interface freezes until the NetBackup-Java Administration Console is restarted. i upgraded my whole NBU enviornment Source (1xMaster, 11x Media servers 8 sitting locally (virtual) and 3 at remote sites (physical)) and Target Domain (same set of servers).. The issue seems to have been resolved but only if i fire up the jnbSA& on a master server all works fine. I than upgraded my Java Console version on windows box from 7.5.0.3 to 7.5.0.4 and guess what problem is still there? found the following tech note and generated the logs but its not leading me anywhere.. http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH154433 any suggestion would highly be appreciated.Solved757Views0likes2Comments
