    I'll be honest here Bala...involve Symantec as you should have support with the appliance. If it is something as catastrophic as this, then you're better-off getting them to get the data off the appliance and help you in resetting it.

Reinstall BackupExec will earase all the data from disk. Best practice is that if you have tape out backup job and Backup Exec database then factory default backup appliance and restore database.

Catlog tape media to to restor backup.
