Error Code E00084F4

I have been running abackup that goes for about 30 hours and at 24 hours it encouters this error of E000084F4

(Drive and media mount requested, The backup options or selection for this Job have changed since the last time it ran)

The backup resumed and has now ran for 1 hour with count of 96GB as compared to the 24 hours it had run earlier on with a count of 1.3TB 

Is there anyway this backup could resume from where it encoutered an error.

    You can only check everything when the job is done.

    Enabling Checkpoint restart in backup job would do that. You can find the option under Advanced Open File Option. 

    But symantec noticed that the jobs are running much slower when this option is enabled.

    The count of 96GB could be the the amount of data that is backed up since the job resumed.

    After the job has completed, you can check the verification phase of the joblog and see how much data was backed up by the entire job.  Also, you can try to do a restore from the backup set created by the job and see what are the resources backed up.

    According to you, this job is going to proceed backing up what it has not yet backed up from the selected directory?

    More like continuing from where it encountered an error, and therefore it should top up its backedup data with the level the previous one encoutered an error.

    That is the point of resuming your backup.  The backup will resume from the point of the stoppage. See this document

    No. Checkpoint/restart will work for any stoppages.

    Not like that. If a job with check point restart enabled fails/interrupts, then the job will be restarted automatically by BE from the point where it was interrupted instead of starting over again at the beginning. The restarted job will be given with the Resumed status (As you mentioned in ur query sad) 

    Some notable limitations are, only supported on NTFS volumes, not supported with incremental backups and Application agents. If an Administrator cancels the job, then BE will not automatically restarts the job even with checkpoint restart enabled.
