EV 9 e BlackBerry

Caros,

  • Could you repost in English?  Most forum users are english speaking.

I think this is a close translation:

"We have Enterprise Vault 9 installed and configured with OWA running normally, but BlackBerry users are having trouble accessing their messages, because when EV archives a message to the BlackBerry server copies its foundation, but the attachments are inaccessible.

Does anyone know a way around this (workaround) or whether this version of EV there exists some solution to the Outlook BlackBerry service in particular?"

Currently EV doesn't support mobile devices:

What is your archive policy for those users?  How old are the mail items they are trying to view?  I think normally this isn't an issue as the BlackBerry normail has newer mail and the archived mail isn't sync'd.

You could use Mobile Search, but that is not really an integration:

    About Mobile Search

Symantec Enterprise Vault Mobile Search is a Web-based application. It lets you use a Web browser on a mobile device to search for and view Microsoft Exchange Server emails that Enterprise Vault has archived.

  • As Tony says, a Blackberry (or any other mobile device) user can't open shortcuts.  So, either make sure your shortcut policy/archiving policy is such that shortcuts aren't likely to need to be opened from the device, or introduce mobile search to your community.

  • i'm pretty sure that to get items to be synced to a blackberry you would have to purposefully include IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.* right? because by default shortcuts shouldn't be synced to a blackberry, at least through BES anyway, not sure about the desktop redirector
