Simple steps to add a node to netbackup cluster
On new node install VCS:
Configure the fowling files
/etc/llthosts
/etc/llttab
/etc/gabtab
Setup ssh keys between nodes
If the cluster has fencing you need to enable it
Copy /etc/vxfenmode
Run /opt/VRTSvcs/bin/uuidconfig.pl -clus -copy -from_sys … -to_sys …
Or copy /etc/vx/.uuids/clusuuid
/etc/vx/.uuids/clusuuid
Adding the new node to the cluster:
haconf -makerw
hasys -add fmg-bkm1
copy /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/main.cf
Adding to Netbackup service group:
On active node
Cd /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/cluster
./cluster_config -s nbu -o add_node –n …
Copy /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/cluster/NBU_RSP to the new node (if the script didn’t)
Copy bp.conf to new node
Failover to new node
