10d Agents with v9 backup Exec

Customer of ours is using v9 Backup Exec for Windows on SBS 2003. They have purchased Remote Agents for Windows Server and also SQL Server. Version they have purchased in 10d.

Question 1. - Can I install the agents event though they are a higher version than Backup Exec itself.

Question 2. If no to the above can I download the v9 agents and install using my 10d licence?

Hello,

The 9x license is not compatible with 10x and vice versa. With Backup exec v9, you will need to purchase 9x licenses only. Refer to the following technote for more information on this:
