I have 11D 6235 installed on XP Pro x64 SP2 AMD64.  Where is 7170?  Live update does not have it.

You should be able to download build 7170 from the website.  From the sounds of things, you'll have better luck grabbing a copy via the demo link than going through the portal site.

So its not a full release.  Great!   Should I backup first before installing it?

Found the 7170 Trial.   Not happy the live update can't do it.

http://www.symantec.com/backupexec/, spot the Free Downloads section on the left side, download the trialware for the version you need.  You'll be given the option to install your license keys during the installation process to make the install permanent, rather than a 60-day eval.

VXA-2 is around 390-410 MB/min.   Native = 360MB/min.   64K, 128K, 32,0 software compression.

VXA-3 fell from 730 to 400.   The 64K,128K,32,0 and 64K,64K,32,0.   I just reset it to 64K, 256K, 32,0

VXA-3 64K,256K,32,0 with software compression is holding 724MB/min (720MB native)  Not sure if its the drivers or the fact I started and cancelled the two previous backups and restarted them.   It should on pre-scan load the files into indexing and system cache for performance boost.
