11d Exchange 2003 Backup Fast but Verify SLOW

Hi

I have a exchange 2003 server running Windows 2003 Standard. I am using Backup exec 11d to backup the information store, all in all about 30GB, this happens very very fast, like two hours.  However the verify of the backup is VERY slow, the whole backup job takes around 6 hours, which means the verify takes 4 hours.......... WHY?!?!?!

I think it has always done it, just I have never kept an eye on it..... I would appreciate any help....

 I also get the same, the verify is running at 44mb/min

Symantec any reason why this is so slow?
