What version of Backup exec are you currently using? Is it 9.1 or 9.0? As per the technote that you had refereed to, in version 9.1, the Notification Module has been updated to reflect the media server name and job name in the subject line of the notification. The subject line of notification emails will now have the following format:
Backup Exec Alert: (Server: "Server name") (Job: "Job Name")
In case you wish to upgrade from 9.0 to 9.1, it is free upgrade and you can continus using the same serial numbers as already told by Mr.Putnam. Here are the linls that will be helpful in this regard:
The upgrade addresses many issues and enhancements from an earlier versions and Build of Backup Exec v9.0. Refer the following technotes:
