A quiesced snapshot could not be created for the virtual machine

Does having a snapshot on the server hinder the backup?
My backup is with this error, how to solve this error? In KB says that I need to delete the snapshot, has no other way?

Hi,

Ideally the snapshot should be deleted from VMware the minute the backup of that VM completes. However, it doesn't do this and that could indicate something to investigate further within VMware for instance.

Delete the snapshot as per the TN and do any other troubleshooting and see if this fixes your issue.

Thanks!

I manually deleted the snapshot.

I'm running the backup again, but sometimes it succeeds, sometimes not.

We are using version 6.0.0 of ESX.
