Hi,

I want to Backup Data on different Windows Servers using AOFO.( Windows 2003 and 2008 Server)

I installed Remote Agents on each and I create a Job with AOFO enabled. BE automatically select the better way to use this Technology.

In that Case, is it a good thing that BE choose VSS at the same time for the 2003 and 2008 Server ?

Hi,

Unless you're running into issues with VSS backups with a specific VSS writer, then allow BE to choose it's own writer...

There are two AOFO technologies which BE can use: VSP for Windows 2000 and below and VSS for Windows 2003 and above.  In your case, VSS is the correct technology to use.
