- What exchange version are you using?
- If the issue is specific to some mailboxes, try excluding them for isolating the issue. Also, a reboot of the exchange server helps in such cases as it resets corrupt flag set on the suspected mailbox.
The error message "a0008488 hex," "access denied," or "access is denied" is returned when the logon account provided to attach to a resource does not have sufficient rights to back up the resource. Most access denied messages can be resolved by providing an alternate account with local administrative rights to the resource for Backup Exec to connect with.
