Access violation when trying to restore an Exchange 5.5 mailbox

I recently had a problem where I had inadvertantly deleted a user's exchange mailbox prematurely while migrating to another Exchange server in our organization. When I tried to restore the mailbox from tape and re-direct it to another existing mailbox, the following error occured. "An application error has occured and an application error log is being generated. Exception" access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x6faac647". I looked out here in Newsgroups and found that creating a new Catalogs folder might fix the problem but when I tried that I still got the same error. Anybody have any ideas"? I have Veritas Backup Exec version 7.3 running on Windows NT 4.0 SP6 and the Microsoft Exchange agent. Our Exchange is version 5.5, SP4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This error applies to bengine.exe, and causes the Job Engine service to stop.

I don't think that you can restore to a different mailbox

Try (re-)creating a mailbox with the same name, and resore to that.

Ken, this worked. For some reason the screens lead you to believe you can restore to another mailbox. Thanks for your help!
