Advanced Open File Agent installed or not?

Hi,
We are using BEX V10 and have the AOFA installed on our servers, however there is one server that will not work with AOFA. I have pushed it remotely and tried an install locally from the command prompt using RANT32 and setupaofa.cmd. When I check back after the install the vsp driver does not show in the list in System info, but the install never errors and seems to work fine but the back up always ends with exceptions saying the AOFA is not installed correctly. The server is a Windows 2000 server in Active Directory but is not a DC.

TIA

Steve

Hi Steve,

Please make sure that you have installed the agent correctly. The commmand should be setupaofo.com instead of setupaofa.

Thanks for your reply.

However, I followed the instructions from the following doc

http://support.veritas.com/docs/258982

I have tried using .com and it doesn't recognise the command and the Open file agent still won't install.

Hi,

Please refer this technote and check for the vsp.sys file on the server.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling AOFO. Refer this technote: http://support.veritas.com/docs/253620
