After starting Backup-Job Exchange Crashes

Hi, I have a problem.

We have since January a new Server. This is an Win 2000 Server machine, with all Service Packs und Patches.
On the server also is an Exchange 2000 Server and Backup Exec10d.

All the Time the Server runs very well, Exchange done his job very good, and all the nights Backup exec done his job good.

Now since about 1 week, I have the problem, everytime, when the job start autmaticaly or manuel, he starts. He is doing somethin about 40 Minutes, but when i look at the status, how much MB/GB he already safed at the dlt tape, there is anytime 0.

After 40 minuten when the job starts, the Exchange Server crash. No Outlook could be Used on the Clients. I can's cancel the backup job. There stand all the time canceling job, but nothing happened.

I must restart the server, then Exchange works to this time, when backup exec wants to save the server. Then the game restart and i must restart the server.

What could this be?
