Agent for Redhat 5.5

Hi,

I'm just about to purchase Backup Exec 2010 for my servers (Windows and Linux) but i just read somewhere that the Linux agent does not support RedHat 5.5. Can anyone clarify this before I purchase it.

Would the current version (Enterprise Linux Red-Hat 5.0) not be suitable and then upgrade on the next relase.

Will it work?.

Otherwise I will have no choice but to go to another backup supplier.......

you can try backing it up as there are many flavours of linux which are not supported but the backup does run fine .( but also perform test restores ifto confirm the data backed up can be restore)
