Agent for Windows licensing issues

Hi,

I am running backup exec 2012 and I am having an issue where the licensing is being incorrectly reported by the Symantec Backup Exec License Assessment Tool Report. It has listed one of the servers 4 times under the Agent for Windows and which gives me a does not meet licensing requirements error:

Agent for Windows               N/A            7               8                  No, need 1 licenses

Which is not correct as one of the servers is listed 4 times under the Server/Device name.

Where can I look to try and rectify this?

The BELAT tool is only a guide and is not used by Symantec to confirm licensing compliance.

As such as long as you can show licenses to cover your remote servers that is enough.

Thanks for the fast response. Are you aware if this issue is present is Backup Exec 2014 or is it only releated to 2012?

The only reported cases for this issue were for BE 2012.
